Resistance/Weight Training RESISTANCE/WEIGHT TRAINING
Custom Training can help any individual with their fitness goals concerning resistance/weight training. Programs can be created to fit anyone’s needs such as weight-management, toning, bodybuilding, power-lifting. Programs can also be customized to rehabilitate persons with regard to an injury, provided that they are cleared by their physicians to participate in weight training.

Resistance/weight training generally has a positive effect on health. It strengthens muscles, bones and soft tissues, which improves the quality of life. It can be an important tool in a long-term weight-management program. Dieting without exercise causes decreased lean body mass (fat-free weight), negative nitrogen balance (i.e., body loses protein), and diminished muscle strength. Weight training during dieting increases or maintains lean body mass and maintains nitrogen balance. Lean mass is the most important determinant of resting metabolic rate. Weight training may reduce the risk of heart disease by helping people maintain a healthy weight, by lowering blood fats, and by decreasing blood pressure in hypertensive patients (people with high blood pressure). It also provides such benefits as a more attractive body, increased strength and power, improved sports performance, enhanced self-image, and a competitive outlet. With weight training , almost all people can achieve a rapid improvement.
